Yes, this happens to be sunshine...lots of it! Very different from the cold, rainy, drizzle we've had for days on end...and is forecasted for tomorrow! So we hopped in the car yesterday evening and headed for Bangor to grab one of the last pools in stock...
We took the back roads and it was a really beautiful drive. The farmers are beginning to cut hay and the low golden sun on the fresh cut grass turns it this essentially indescribable shimmering green color. (Here's some more on haying...)
Our twins will be turning 9 years old next Monday, and as far as gifting goes, we've been really trying to focus on bigger things rather than more of the clutter-type toys. So this year they decided they really wanted a pool!
A big lesson in patience..
And now for the tricky part...actually getting into that water...the water that happens to be sub-arctic temperatures....
As they attempt to avoid turning as blue as their new pool....since the water pouring into that pool is gurgling up from the extreme depths of our well....by the way, our well water requires no refrigeration...it doesn't even require ice cubes...our well water just happens to be absolutely FRIGID!
Oh well...so what...(they could probably qualify as members of the Polar Bear Club). And I believe they have officially tossed all of their thin-blooded Texas roots....unlike their mother!
