As you may have already discovered on the Hometead page, we have begun a somewhat haphazard venture into the 'going green' lifestyle and our log home design planning. We've had increasing interest into this green frontier as a family and also with many people we know or have met recently. Hence, we started a web site dedicated solely to those pursuing the more self-sufficient, sort of back-to-basics approach to living--this includes alternative sources for energy, food, transportation, tools, and many other things. Much of this is what we term as the 'green frontier.'
We're very excited about all the interesting prospects, potentials, and products that are already available as well as those that are on the near horizon. So we've put together this web site Green Pioneer to encourage and inspire others who are yearning for a more 'green' quality of life for themselves and their families--and also with their neighbors and local community.
This being the case, there's going to be some overlap here, and I'm only one person trying to manage the web sites--along with the family and lifestyle we're choosing...and with only 24 hours in a day...and as a wife and mom with only so much energy...even on way too many cups of coffee! So as I continue to develop the more feminine domestic inspiration for the romantic life on this site, I would LOVE for those of you who are totally enraptured with this Green Pioneer information and ideas--as well as more of the nuts and bolts of what all lies in this quest of the green frontier, to please join me on the Green Pioneer for more of this great stuff!
