Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying a lovely Spring weekend....as we are! The apple trees are in full blossom...amazing! And the weather's been beautiful today!
The kids and I went out with friends, Mark and Jen, on their pontoon boat yesterday...to a nearby lake I never even knew existed!! That happens in Maine! Lakes seem to be tucked in behind forests of trees...and one never even knows they're there!
I also moved our chicks outside today. They LOVED it! They carried on and ran around flapping their little wings...they even scratch like big hens! TOO cute! I'm reading up on what the next stages are for chick brooding from a book Heather loaned me...and will share what I'm finding out. Some of the things we're doing right...others we need to change or fine-tune a bit. But they do seem to be thriving...making their contented little peeps! : )
A few small seedlings are just beginning to appear in the garden. The children are thrilled! Lettuces and radishes are coming on strong!
We've drug boxes upon boxes out of the shed this afternoon and I'm up to my eyeballs in sorting out stuff at the moment. Oh and we're still baking that artisan bread like crazy...just took 3 more loaves out of the oven! We're addicted!! I'll be back soon with more photos and fun! Have a great weekend!! : D
