Two Days before Christmas...and do you ever have one of those days that just suddenly makes you so thankful for all the little blessings..?? That actually summed up together these little blessings become one big beautiful blessing...sort of like all the little treats you find in your stocking....that makes up one BIG stocking...
Everyday should be like this really but I don't always savor the little blessings like I should...especially around the hub-bub of the Holidays...like just TWO days before Christmas!
This is the friendly little snowman built by our son who was romping and full of zest yesterday. Today he's laid up with a mild fever and a sore throat on the couch. Poor little guy!
Blessing #1: Tons of snow for snowmen and a white Christmas.
Blessing #2: That we can freely pray prayers for our little guy and know that we have a Father in heaven who welcomes and answers those prayers.
Blessing #3: This morning my hubby's out there shoveling a path to the car and getting the mail. Plus more wonderful cards and packages arrived from the mailman today.
Blessing #4: Later the plow guy came over and got our entire drive plowed out. Yay!
Blessing #5: My friend, Sherry, phoned and told me that she and her kids were coming over bearing Christmas goodies for us! What a surprise! We live like 20 miles from them! It even motivated me to scrub the kitchen floor (Blessing #6...much needed!)
Blessings #7,8,9.10: Our four little munchkins that we adore! And here are the girls...dolls in hand...ready to go with Daddy to Portland today...and to pick out some Christmas Candy! Among who knows what else...what Mommy doesn't know won't hurt her...we hope!
Bye Bye, Mommy! We'll take care of all the shopping...don't you worry about a thing!
Blessing #11: Girly girls...and a Daddy who knows how to handle girly girls...perfectly!
Blessing #12: A gorgeous sunset over our neighbor's farm...whom I paid a visit to today bringing a homemade loaf of cinnamon cranberry bread...walking over the snow to find her sweeping out the barn. It was a great catch up visit! Why don't I do this more often?!
Blessings #13, 14, 15, 16: My son napping on the couch. The house is quiet, Christmas music playing, the kitty curled up on the rug near the tree, and nothing more for me to do than to sit back and knit a scarf...and for my dear friends and family that God has so graciously blessed me with who give me the pleasure to count many, many blessings! As I mentioned to my friend, Karyn, today...I'm selfish enough to want more of these kinds of days! The amazing thing is that they're always right at our fingertips! : )
And for a couple more darling Christmas blessings, see little baby Harper and all the adorable things his creative Mommy knitted for him...as well as take a peek at little Mistletoe!
