Will it be...or won't it be?? That's the question for my day...every day...lately. My most recent question of the day is the question of a yard sale. Yes, a yard sale that I'd hoped to do today...but alas....as you can see...I'm far from ready for any such animal as a yard sale type animal....that is presently devouring me...from all sides!
This is the week that we're supposed to be getting ready for an upcoming fair in which we're designated to be demonstrating a Power Hearth unit in front of thousands of people. However, we heard from some friends of ours down in Belgrade that they are moving to South Carolina this year...for good. And they also told us that they had all sorts of things to give us if we were interested. BUT...BUT...we must hurry...as in THIS week. So we drove down to check out the stuff...and oh my! do they ever have stuff...wonderful stuff! As if we NEED more stuff!
So far we've gotten an old fridge that we're keeping over on our land, a gorgeous, sturdy Franklin wood burning stove, lots of lumber including tongue-and-groove pine paneling, all sorts of furniture from desks to shelves, all sorts of great organizational stuff....AND Pauline gave me a box full of vintage embroidered linens and yarn! How can I possibly pass this stuff up???? And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Plus anything we don't want, they would like us to just put out in our yard sale so that they don't have to move it. Soooooo, hence my yard sale must-do-now. Not only because it's out with the old and in with the new, another factor is that the trailer we have to move things with will soon be sporting a permanently mounted Power Hearth unit....and hence, will not have as much room to move things. Hence, I need to get my little you know what in gear.
However, it was just too much too late for this weekend...which really has me cringing because it's a GORGEOUS weekend. But we're having some perfect 'Indian Summer' weather right now...and it is supposed to be just as gorgeous next weekend. So here I go to sift and sort and un-bury myself from the avalanche of belongings that have somehow managed to become our possessions. And I totally admit that there was something startling yet freeing about actually laying my eyes on the back of our storage unit...something I haven't seen in many moons! : D
