We had our Homeschool Christmas Program...rescheduled due to the weather. It's always such a treat. Our children love to get up on stage and recite or sing...or do whatever it takes to get on stage. They did not inherit this 'wanna be on stage' trait from their mother. That's a fact!
We're also always amazed at how these children can recite...I mean, they memorize some long stuff! And nearly all of them want to participate! It's just too sweet. And we never rehearse anything. Each of the children just take turns and then usually sing some Christmas carols together when everyone's had their turn. It works out perfectly every time! We LOVE simplicity!
Our older girls each recited a winter poem...
Some of the children sang or read poems that they wrote themselves...
Or played the piano...
Our son was to sing Jingle Bells with our youngest while shaking their tambourines. However, a severe case of stage fright afflicted our littlest one...who was all excited about singing...up until her big debut...
This is the only time she ventured on stage...and that was with Mommy having to stand there holding her hand....doesn't make for the best camera shots but oh well! Life is better than the 'best angle'...or no shot at all....right..?? Any day!
